Suit Up

Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

We are in a daily battle with the enemy for our spiritual life.

The enemy will use every tool at his disposal - family, friends, coworkers, social media, movies, music, magazines, etc. The list is endless.

The enemy will disguise his tactics as - friendly gossip, an innocent lie, self-doubt, mistrust, anger, fear, busyness (you know what I mean - "I'll just skip church this Sunday" "I'll catch up on bible study") He will attack at all hours of the day and night. He is active 24/7, 365 days of the year.

We are not alone in this battle. As my mother would say - Oh, what a God we serve! God has provided us with the armor needed to stand, fight and defeat anything and everything the enemy throws our way.

Fasten on the Belt of Truth to defeat the lies of the enemy.

Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness to protect our hearts against self-doubt, mistrust, etc.

Put on the Shoes of Peace and continue to spread the gospel of God and doing the work of Christ.

Take up the Shield of Faith to protect us from the arrows of temptation thrown at us.

Put on the Helmet of Salvation to protect our mind from all doubt.

Take up the Sword of the Spirit - staying in God's Word, committed to Prayer.

When we are clothed in the Armor of God we are not just protected, we are also covered with Grace and Mercy.

Declaration: Declare today, I am suited up in the Whole Armor of God.

Action: Study God’s Word. Meditate on Ephesians 6:10-20 The Whole Armor of God.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for clothing me with the Armor. Your armor helps me to fight against the attacks of the enemy and to stand true in Your Word. Your armor helps me to be a guardian of faith. With Your armor, I do not fight alone – I fight with grace and mercy. In Jesus Name. Amen
