Meditate on God's Word
Updated: Jan 11
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8
Notice the scripture states “study” – not read.
The Bible is not a novel. For me, it is a living Book of Life. I call it living because each time I study God’s Word, I come away with new knowledge and understanding. I can read a scripture one day and have a clear understanding. Then I can read that same scripture another day and receive a different understanding.
When I would have different understandings of one scripture, it confused me. Until I studied on 2 Timothy 3:16.
2 Timothy 3:16 tells us – All Scripture is inspired by god and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
I believe God knows what I need when I start study on a scripture. And He provides the proper instruction that is required.
God’s Word is critical in the salvation we receive. Knowing God’s Word is the framework of staying on the right path.
Dedicate time to go deep into God’s Word. Meditate on God’s Word. Stay in God’s Word. Be mindful to obey God’s Word. Then we will be successful in God’s eyes.
Declaration: Declare today, God’s Word is my Book of Life.
Action: Study God’s Word. Meditate on 2 Timothy 3:16.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word. Your Word is my Book of Life. It teaches me what is true. It shows me what is wrong in my life. It corrects me when I am wrong and teaches me to do what is right. Your Word keeps me on the right path. It feeds me when I am hungry and quenches my thirst for knowledge of You. Your Word keeps me anchored and grounded. In Jesus Name. Amen
