Go to the Rock
Updated: Sep 18, 2021
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:5-6
One of my favorite hymns is I Go to The Rock (Dottie Rambo).
Where do I go when there's nobody else to turn to? Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen? Who do I lean on when there's no foundation stable?
I go to the rock I know he's able I go to the rock
When situations arise in my life, I have learned to sit tight in prayerful silence and Go to the Rock. At the Rock I can rest in His strength knowing that I will not be weakened but receive strength.
God is ALL - hope, foundation, salvation, protection.
God is our hope. In Him we can have great expectation of His promises.
God is the foundation on which our faith rests. Not man, not material things, not idolatry.
God is our salvation. Our deliverer. He has delivered us from sin.
God is our protection. Our stronghold against all attacks. With God’s protection, nothing can weaken, harm or damage us.
Declaration: Declare today, on Christ the solid rock I stand.
Action: Study God’s Word. Meditate on Psalm 62 My Soul Waits for God Alone (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I give You praise. You alone are my rock, my salvation, my protector. My soul waits in prayerful silence and great expectation of Your Promises. Resting in my faith I receive Your strength and cannot be weakened. You are my all. You are my Rock. On Christ the solid rock I stand. In Jesus Name. Amen
