Replace Your Fear

Updated: Jan 11

But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

Psalm 56:3-4

At some time in our life, we all face something that makes us afraid.

My greatest fear was losing our family home. I dreaded going to the mailbox, receiving a phone call or even a knock at the door.

I had to replace fear and anxiety with faith and trust in God. Psalm 56:10-11 tells us – I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? What can man do to us? Nothing! Mortal man and his evil ways have no power over us.

When we place our trust in God, we are under His protection. Fear and anxiety are eliminated. Human nature from others may continue to be mean spirited but it cannot break us.

Scripture tells us – The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? (Psalm 118:6). Stand confident in God’s ability to do all things. Have belief that God is almighty and faith that God is on His Throne.

As I anchored myself in God’s Word – little by little my anxiety level lowered. My fear started to dissolve. Confidence. Belief. Faith. These words replaced fear, anxiety, worry.

Fear has no place in our walk with Christ.

Declaration: Declare today, fear has no place in my walk with Christ. Replace your fear and anxiety with faith and trust in God.

Action: Study on God’s Word. Meditate on scriptures on belief and faith.

Prayer: Lord, I replace my fear with faith and trust in You. Fear has no place in my walk with Christ. I stand on Your Word and declare – In God I Trust! Man can do nothing to me! In Jesus Name. Amen
